Cassie is terrific. She’s in love. It’s her thirtieth birthday and while she’s not married yet, she sees it in the distance. Cassie’s parents are throwing her a birthday party at the best restaurant in town. Mark, the love of her life, will come through when the time is right. Cassie has a terrific job – she works for Mark – at a PR agency where she rocks. She has wonderful friends who are always there for her. Everyone Likes Cassie. What could be better?

Find ‘All I Ever Wanted‘ at:
Barnes & Noble
Amazon
Goodreads

Then it starts to unravel. Mark tells Cassie that he’s dating someone else – actually, not just someone else, but their biggest client’s daughter – and she’ll be working with them at the PR agency. Cassie puts on a brave face, smiles, tells Mark it’s fine and she needs to run to the DMV… Hmm.

Then, after a problem at the restaurant, her party is moved to the funeral home. Fun! Needless to say, Cassie winds up in the endless DMV line crying into her cell phone to her not at all compassionate sister because her best friend is unavailable. Luckily the lady in front of her understands completely, however, the man behind her just complains.

I was a bit leery of reading another Kristin Higgins book because I really didn’t get the last one. However, this book was really good. I laughed & laughed! Then I cried. (It’s okay I was supposed to!) Now, that I get Kristin Higgins’ writing style it’s much more enjoyable.

I loved Cassie! By the middle of the book I wanted to protect her – or slap her – as I would my lovely sister.

This book will be released on July 27th but don’t hesitate – pre-order it today!!

@Rebecca: I've not read Fools yet. It's on my list. I'm thinking the library… I'm doing pretty good with not purchasing. It's always touch and go for me though. Three books for four dollars? Way to go!!

@Juju: I was a good story. This was the second book I've read that she's written. I didn't enjoy the first one as much but I think the writing style was just difficult for me to get used to.

I adored this book! I thought Ian and Callie were such great characters and I can't wait for the next KH to come out so I can devour it the way that I devoured this book. Though, I do have one more book by KH that I haven't read yet. Maybe, I'll read that soon.

I'll have to keep checking. She's absolutely on my list.

My Life Verse

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. (John 8:7 (KJV))
