Kate’s wonderful ever-after is rudely interrupted by none other than an awakening Cronus.

The brothers race after him to find out how he’s managing to escape and when they don’t return the sisters follow – leaving few remaining.Not wanting to leave her husband in the clutches of his maniacal father, Kate goes to the only person she can’t stand for help – her husband’s ex and her older sister – Persephone.

Hott Review

In many ways this story was more dramatic and more adventurous than the first. Kate must drag her best friends on a futile mission fraught with danger and certain death in order to save her husband and mother.

Even though I really liked it and can’t wait for the next one… there was just something missing.

A lot of fun. I will admit, though to feeling nervous for a bit because of a ouija-like scene but I felt that the end made up for that bit of uncomfortableness. I’d suggest this to a more mature reader, though.

Recently, I was able to have a brief conversation with Mark Gilleo, author of Love Thy Neighbor. So much about the book pulled me in but I think that what intrigued me most was that it was based on actual events.

Occasionally I’ll gift a surprise or two in the mail… but this week? This week was amazing!

On Monday, I got the oh so snazzy Inhale USB Drive signed by none other than  Kendall Grey herself. Thank you Book Soulmates!!

Then, on Tuesday, I got a very cool prize pack from Ms. Susan Mallery — with gifts to share — but you’ve seen enough about that

On Wednesday, I came home to find that the book I won at Always With a Book had come. I’m so looking forward to reading ‘It Had To Be You’ by Susan Elizabeth Phillips!!

Thursday, I came home to find that Regina Scott remembered to send me her latest book in her ‘The Everard Legacy’ series, The Captain’s Courtship.

BUT… best of all… On Friday I came home to find the wonderful baby gifts I had made for my newest nephew. I honestly don’t know what I’d do without Kristy Upton & her wonderful Etsy shop,. Not only do I get the coolest gifts there, but she makes things I know will get rave reviews. Check these out:

Hott Synopsis

Mille is in a sinking ship. Figuratively, of course. The patrons of her restaurant think she’s got commitment issues. It’s not that exactly, it’s just that, well… she wants more than Deer Park has to offer and these men just aren’t it.Her saving grace comes in the form of newly returned David Denvers. Recently widowed, David has returned to take over his father’s dental practice and give his son a more stable environment. Things would be wonderful except, his mother has decided that her dearest friend’s daughter would be a great match for David – Whereas, David thinks she’s more stalker material.

When the two catch up on the slopes – yet another blind date arranged my Millie’s mom – they devise a fool proof plan to overcome and conquer their meddling loved ones.

Or are they just fooling themselves?

Hott Review

Fun, emotional, and inspirational. I really enjoyed Millie and Eva, her mom, they were great fun. The romance was sweet but not the focus of the story.

Contrary to the cover design, this story is not one that pivots around winter or holidays.

I’d definitely read this again!

A young man shopping in a supermarket noticed a little old lady following him around. If he stopped, she stopped. Furthermore she kept staring at him.

She finally overtook him at the checkout, and she turned to him and said, “I hope I haven’t made you feel ill at ease; it’s just that you look so much like my late son.”

He answered, “That’s okay.”

“I know it’s silly, but if you’d call out ‘Good bye, Mom’ as I leave the store, it would make me feel so happy.”

She then went through the checkout, and as she was on her way out of the store, the man called out, “Goodbye, Mom.”

The little old lady waved and smiled back at him. Pleased that he had brought a little sunshine into someone’s day, he went to pay for his groceries. “That comes to $121.85,” said the clerk.

“How come so much? I only bought 5 items.”

The clerk replied, “Yeah, but your Mother said you’d be paying for her things, too.”

Bet you thought this was going to be a tear jerker.

A light sweet romance. A terrific romantic plot perfect for all ages. It’s a bit reminiscent of Grace Livingston Hill.

I loved it & am going to need to grab the rest of the series.
