As a way for Christian Fiction Readers to connect meaningfully and more frequently, Joy from Edgy Inspiration Romance started the Christian Fiction Book Club. I’m honored with hosting this month.
By vote October’s book is: Pearl in the Sand by Tessa Afshar

Here is how it works

3. Schedule your blog post to run on Wednesday, October 27th. You may copy and use the book club logo.
4. On Wednesday October 27th, I will run my review and answer a few discussion questions. I’ll include a MckLinky at the bottom so you can link your posts.
5. From Wednesday the 27th to Saturday October 30th, we will hop around reading and commenting on the reviews and opinions of participating bloggers.
6. If you do not have a blog of your own, you can share your opinions about Pearl in the Sand in the comment sections of other blogs.
7. Have you already read Pearl in the Sand? Great, participate anyway! You’ll got a head start answering some of the questions!
More about Pearl in the Sand
From Goodreads: Can a Canaanite harlot who has made her livelihood by looking desirable to men make a fitting wife for one of the leaders of Israel? Shockingly, the Bible’s answer is yes. At the age of fifteen Rahab is forced into prostitution by her beloved father. In her years as a courtesan, she learns to mistrust men and hate herself. Into the emotional turmoil of her world walks Salmone, a respected leader of Judah. Through the tribulations of a stormy relationship, Rahab and Salmone learn the true source of one another’s worth in God and find healing from fear and rejection.

I'm SO in!
I just finished this and I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVED it.
Yay! I just received approval from Netgalley to read this so I am in. I was on the fence about reading it but knowing that I'll have people to discuss it with has encouraged me.
I'm in! I'm in! 🙂 And I tweeted this post.
Sounds great 🙂
Count me in! So excited, I have wanted to participate in a book club FOREVER 🙂 I was sent a copy and now I can share my thoughts 🙂
I'm in. Going to NetGalley to get my copy.
I just received Pearl in the Sand in the mail today! I definitely want to participate. I have two suggestions for November book club. I don't know what's already been read and discussed, since I'm new. So I won't be offended if these are bad picks . . . Lady in Waiting by Susan Meissner or While We're Far Apart by Lynn Austin . . .
I just received this and would love to join in! 🙂
Meant to add…I have another suggestion to throw in the ring for November. I just finished reading "Petra: City of Stone" by T.L. Higley an LOVED it! Here's my review for more info:
I just read your review, Kara. Petra sounds like a fascinating read! I'm not familiar with T. L. Higley.
Yeah! We have tons on board!!
Thanks for the suggestions. We'll keep pulling them together & put up a poll closer to the end of the month.
Thanks CFB lovers!
I read this and reviewed it on my blog-www.deanawat.blogspot.com so I won't repeat it all:
It's my new favorite love story, my new favorite inspy, my new favorite historical…
my FAVE!
Oh, yeah,(sheepish grin), I'm in….
I just found this book club and would love to be a part of it.
Hope – everyone is welcome. Just read November's book & join in on the discussion.
