A broken family. Visiting the ancestral home for their Christas celebration couldn’t be less merry.
A depressed newly divorced father spending his first Christmas without his family. A gorgeous ad exec celebrating with her vainly while her boyfriend colleague galavants around in Cancun with their other office mates so the relationship secret doesn’t get out. The baby who is finding himself at yet another prestigious college. Two overly devoted and loving parents having second thoughts on how they raised these children.
And then there’s the half-dressed beat’up man they found in a snow bank before the storm hit. Is he the police officer he claims to be or tge fugitive he claims to be chasing? Could he just be the answer to their Christmas problems?
Could he be their angel?
Awesome! While not a traditional inspirational novel this book allows Christ to be the center of Christmas without being preachy. He just is. The celebration of family comes second to that of Jesus’ birth but it felt quite like Christmas at home.
There is a bit of mild cursing, alcoholic beverages, and an allusion to intimacy but nothing that would preclude most from enjoying this novel.
It is one of the best Christmas books I’ve read. The mystery was fun, the family was comforting (not fake), and there were Christmas miracles.
** Many of the books I review are Advance Review Copies. These books are loaned to me for my review. I am in no way compensated for my time nor am I asked to give anything but my honest review. If you have further questions, please, review my FTC Disclaimer on my homepage.
