Edamam is about helping people eat better by simplifying daily food choices. The company has set for itself the ambitious goal of organizing all the food knowledge in the world. To that end, it has built a proprietary semantic food knowledge base and is creating a range of consumer and business applications on top of it to solve real-world everyday problems. Its team combines top talent from the digital, food and semantic fields.

Hott Review:

What I liked: The Edamam Nutrition Wizard Plus app and site are amazing! This is the most comprehensive database of recipes I’ve seen. Plus, they’re categorized by health claims like “Low Carb, Low Sodium, Sugar Conscious, Low Potassium, Kidney Friendly, Dairy Free, Peanut Free” and so many more.

What I didn’t like: Honestly, I’ve been using MyFitnessPal for years and for this specific item I like what I’ve been using. Plus, the recipes I entered didn’t seem to come out right.

So, overall, I’d have to say that yes, you should use this app for the recipes and allergy, or preference, info but, maybe not quite yet for the recipe entry.
