He’s Gone & Done It Now!

  • Hott Views

Yes, I’m talking about hubby.

He has officially changed the rest of our lives.

Sure, he asked first, but what was I supposed to say? No? You just can’t do that when you’re married. No, you have to be all loving and put your spouse before yourself. I wish I’d thought about that before I said “I do”! What was I thinking?

In all seriousness, though, Hotty really has made a tremendous step and I’d like to share our new life with all of you.SYMBOL_3CLR

He has decided to take a position as the area director for The Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA). FCA is a non-profit interdenominational Christian organization that uses the influence of coaches and athletes as a means of Christian evangelism. They operate chapters based in schools and communities and hold camps, workshops and conferences.

I’m so very proud of him because I know this was not an easy decision. It meant giving up a very cushy way of life to essentially live like missionaries. He must raise all of the funds to not only organize everything he does in the community but also to pay his salary.

I’m also proud of him because he’s finally doing what he’s been fighting for years — allowing God to direct his life. No, Hotty isn’t a bad person, there were just areas of his life that he wasn’t fully giving over – no matter what he tries to say.

I think I’m happiest because even though this is a lot of hard work – for both of us – he’s finally happy and relaxed. No, not every day is easy or perfect but there is such joy and peace in doing what God wants and trusting Him with your next steps that we can’t help but just be joyful.

Well, thanks for listening to my sermon. If you’d ever like to help out I’ll be switching out my wish list buttons for some tax-deductible donation buttons any day now 😉

Wow! That is a huge decision! It sounds cool.
So does this mean that you all will be traveling or just that he will?
I say, good for him. And I do hope it is the right decision for you all.
    I will pray for you!

Luckily, it will actually mean that he’ll travel less. Thanks, we need the prayers!!

It’s huge. I’m not perfect but I do love him and am very happy that he can be happy.

My Life Verse

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. (John 8:7 (KJV))
