2011 Chick Lit Challenge

sign up post

Read at least 8 books of the chick lit variety. What qualifies for chick lit? Books like Sophie Kinsella’s Shopaholic series, Red Ink Press books, authors like Jane Green or Whitney Lyles, etc. These are the mostly fluff, fun-to-read, brain candy type of books. This challenge runs from January 1 thru December 31, 2011. You can make your list ahead of time of the books you want to read or just list them as you go along. To sign up, leave a comment on this post.

I’m in – How about you… now if I only had a better idea what constituted as Chick Lit. I’m sure I read it, but which books qualify?

  • Chick Lit is usually funny, modern, written from a first person point of view. About a girl making her way through life.

Kristin Billerbeck's early titles pioneered inspy chick lit.

  • Thanks, Joy! I'm guessing that this is going to be hard then… because, I believe that the YA I read yesterday – Here Lies Bridget – would qualify & I'm pretty sure I don't like First Person.
Oh, well, I'm sure I'll find eight I can read this year!
If anyone has suggestions, please, lend a hand!
