Goodreads Synopsis:

amazon Goodreads
Lace Crochet is a guide to crocheting with fine thread to produce beautiful and delicate lace designs. It covers the most popular styles of crochet lace – filet crochet, motifs and Irish crochet – in depth, including history, all the techniques you’ll need, traditional and modern patterns and practical projects, including framed lace motifs, delicate gloves and a bedspread. It also shows how to imitate other traditional styles of lace, such as Honiton and guipure lace, using crochet. The book gives all the basic techniques so previous experience in crochet is not necessarily required, and is illustrated with both colour photographs and easy-to-follow line diagrams and patterns. Whether you are a crocheter or a lacemaker, you’ll find lots of fascinating information and inspiration in this book.

Hott Review of Crochet Lace:

I KNOW this is a bit out of the norm for me unless you’ve met the fam. You see, my mother-in-law comes from a Mennonite family whose women still carry around handkerchief edged with crocheted lace. For years I’ve been trying to get the patters right and to find the proper tools and process to get these right.

This book is a lifesaver! In addition to finally being able to contribute to the dwindling crocheters in the family I have the tools and background to make this process easier and more enjoyable!

Crochet Lace not only gives you the patters it explains the background and gives a much clearer explanation on the abbreviations and techniques needed to create this fashion necessity.
