Review | Keeping Christmas

amazon Christianbook.com Goodreads
It’s been years since Judith Winters did anything Christmassy alone. Yet this year the season looms before her as her can only think of what she’s missing.
Stan Winters can’t see what the problem is, FINALLY he’ll get to spend his holiday in peace. Maybe actually watch a few games and eat on his own schedule. If only Judith would get out of this funk and do her part. What’s the deal with her anyway? It’s not like anything has changed!

Hott Review:

I have a confession. I always skip Dan Walsh titles. Not because I think they won’t be good. Quite the contrary. It’s because I don’t like to cry. I mean, what is the point in reading something that will make you cry, right?
Huh. Well, the synopsis for Keeping Christmas lured me in. It’s my fear. My worry. What will happen when it’s just us for Christmas?

Since much of this book is written in first person from Judith’s perspective and my hubby’s name is Stan, it was especially easy to immerse myself in Keeping Christmas. The fear, the despair, the loss Judith felt of being alone through the holidays was so real and painful I just wanted to cry (or smack my hubby for being so heartless).
