Will Halifax, fifth Viscount Grandville, is a runner. He’d never thought that of himself yet that’s exactly what he’s done since his wife’s death last year. He tried traveling ands stripping his home of her memories and nothing is helping. Nothing will bring him out of the pain of the past.

Until he comes across the beautiful one bounding out of a wrecked carriage meant for his estate.

Anna Black Bristol is running from something much more nefarious. Shortly after her father’s death, several weeks ago, a man appeared on her doorstep asking her to pose for a painting with him. Nude. When she became outraged he showed her a book of drawings she’d supposedly posed for. … drawn by her father’s assistant. Knowing her live and her reputation are hanging by a thread Anna drops her last name and finds a position in a finishing school.

When Anna’s position takes her to the home of Viscount Halifax she can only pray to stay ahead of those searching for her without bringing scandal upon their house!

Hott Review:

Fun & interesting.
What I liked: The Beautiful One is so very emotional. One moment you’re laughing and the next crying or devastated over something that was said. There weren’t a lot of characters, but I became fully invested in the lives of each of the ones at Stillwell Hall.
The romance between Anna and Will is very reminiscent of “Beaty and the Beast” though it’s not pronounced or overdone, just a sweet reminder.
What I didn’t like: The Beautiful One is much more an emotional read than I prefer. It’s a deep read instead of the light and airy type I prefer.
