Piper just can’t get a break.

Barnes and Noble – Amazon
GoodreadsAuthor

She may have starred in a terrific commercial and a top soap but she just wasn’t what the casting directors were looking for. It’s so bad that she’s finally had to make the decision to move back home. Now, I ask you – what adult wants to admit defeat and move home to Mom & Dad?

Exactly. So Piper’s decided to move but not admit defeat. That works, right? Especially when there begins to be some light at the end of the tunnel – Piper’s just found out that she may have a small part in a dream sequence from the soap that she had been in… well, that is until the lead was murdered

My Thoughts

I enjoyed this but didn’t love it.

What I liked: I enjoyed the mystery it was good and, though I saw it coming, I didn’t.

What I disliked: Nothing specific but I never really got involved in the story. It felt like I was reading a book not dragged into another world.

About Christmas: This is a Christmas book but not really. It spans the month of December and wraps up on Christmas Eve with Christmas shopping. There are references to Rockefeller Center and New York Christmas decorations but…

Rating: B
Buy or Borrow: Borrow
Steam: Safe for all who don’t mind murder.

  1. Awesome review. 🙂 I love knowing just how Christmasy a book really is.
