A Creed in Stone Creek

When Steven Creed accepted the responsibility of his best friends’ son, Matt, after their death he was all in.

He had no problem selling the sky-rise apartment with a great view and buying a run down farm not fit for inhabitants. He had no problem ditching the sports car and getting a pick-up. He had no problem dumping the great job at a prominent law firm and putting up his shingle in a small town. He had no problem walking away from the woman who wouldn’t raise someone else’s child as her own.

Now he’s in Stone Creek and he is having a problem. He and Matt have fallen for the Prosecuting Attorney. Will their new relationship be able to survive a case to provide the security that Matt so desperately needs.

My Thoughts

First of all, let me say, I think I have a thing for cowboys because — LOOK AT THAT COVER!!

Anyway, I loved the story. I enjoyed the personalities, the plot, and the scenery. It really was a nice relaxing book. It wasn’t stressful or emotional just fun and steamy.

What did annoy me was that I’ve read Creed and McKettrick books but not enough to KNOW who is who. So the family tree kept tickling the back of my brain and distracting me from the story. I prefer when books with many family members or relationships have an outline at the beginning to at least let me know which books these people were in so I’m not constantly distracted. But other than my faint case of OCD this was a good book.

  • Thanks for your review. I love Linda Lael Miller's cowboys and know exactly what you mean.
I haven't read this book as of yet but it sounds like a good one.

  • @ CHris: It was a good book.

@ Wall-to-Wall: I liked that the guy on the front didn't look like he could be a teenager, too!
Maybe I'm just old, but seeing a kid on the front of a romance will keep me from reading it every time!
