A Marriage of the Heart

I know, I know. It’s not Saturday but when I was offered the opportunity to do the review for “An Amish Love” I couldn’t pass it up – even it the requirement was that it needed to be done today. So here we are…

An Amish Love is a collection of Three Novellas
Healing Hearts” by Beth Wiseman
What the Heart Sees” by Kathleen Fuller
A Marriage of the Heart” by Kelly Long

A perfect book to remember Valentine’s Day!

Rachael must be crazy! Trapping Joseph into this marriage. She doesn’t even know him. He’s only been accepted into the church for a few hours and she’s already spread the lie that he kissed her inappropriately!

Joseph knows that agreeing he did this means marriage but disagreeing will make them both look bad and everyone will wonder. Does her really have a choice?

Will he ever be able to trust her with his secrets after this?

My Thoughts

As I rule, I don’t really like “Amish” books but something about this one drew me. This particular novella was set in Paradise which is only a bit up the road so it felt like home. I really enjoyed this because it felt so real. Real issues. Real relationships. Real struggles. It wasn’t the feel good tripe painting them without personalities that I’ve found in some. It was really well written and a terrific way to spend a couple of hours.

Rating: B+
Buy or Borrow: Buy (I’m keeping this one & loaning it out!)
Steam: YA – Careful there is some steamy marital kissing that won’t be appropriate for all readers! (Grandma won’t approve!)

** Many of the books I review are Advance Review Copies. These books are loaned to me for my review. I am in no way compensated for my time nor am I asked to give anything but my honest review.
