What We All Need to Know About a Healthy Diet and personal Healthy Lifestyle Choices
Are you ready to resolve to make YOUR life healthier?
Hott Review:
I don’t like diets nor do I like non-fiction but this title called to me because, well, I do want to live a healthy life-style. This wasn’t an easy or fun read but was tremendously helpful in teaching me how to read labels and what I’m supposed to search for. However, don’t make the misconception that this is easy – it’s still not easy – it’s a lifestyle change and you must be committed to change your life. Make the resolution today!

Author Bio:
Dr. Surrell wrote his SOS Diet book on how to lose weight easily and keep the pounds off after helping thousands of patients, friends and colleagues lose between 5 and 8 pounds a month. In addition to the best-selling SOS Diet book, Dr. Surrell has authored many articles in various scientific medical journals.
Dr. Surrell has a special interest in nutrition, cancer screening, and in helping people make health lifestyle changes. As a colorectal surgeon he has performed more than 1,000 major abdominal surgeries and 20,000 colonoscopies.

He is also a frequent guest on the popular Northern Michigan University “Ask the Doctors” TV series and writes a popular bi-weekly newspaper column entitled “Talk with the Doc” for the Marquette Mining Journal.
Dr. Surrell is a firm believer in the safety of sugar substitutes. The newest sugar substitute is stevia and it is rapidly becoming very popular. Fully 70% of the world-wide stevia production is from China. Dr. Surrell is presently working to make Michigan a leader in the raising, production and exporting of Stevia. Would it not be great to support our Michigan farmers by making Stevia a leading Michigan farm crop as well as having Michigan be the nation’s leading producer of packaged stevia?
Dr. Surrell holds fellowship status in both the American Society of Colon and Rectal Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons. He earned his medical degree from Michigan State University in 1980 and a bachelor’s degree from Northern Michigan University.
