  • Resolution Review | SOS (Stop Only Sugar) Diet: You Won’t Even Know You’re On A Diet!

Publicists Synopsis:

What We All Need to Know About a Healthy Diet and personal Healthy Lifestyle Choices
  • The average annual refined sugar consumption in the USA is a whopping 140 pounds per person every year, contributing greatly to the fact that two-thirds of persons 20 and older and one-third of children ages 2-19 are overweight or obese. In the late 1890s, the average consumption of sugar was only four to five pounds per person per year.
  • There are an estimated 26 million people in America with diabetes. About 95 percent are Type 2 diabetics, meaning they were not born with diabetes but become diabetic primarily as a result of their diet choices.
  • Water is the body’s principle fluid and makes up about 60 percent of an adult’s body weight. Every system in the body needs water to function properly. Every day the body loses water through normal functioning such as breathing, sweating, all physical activity, passing urine, and having bowel movements. Because that water must be replaced, individuals should drink eight 8-ounce glasses of water per day.
  • We all must become “label reading detectives” and check all food and drink labels before we consume them. All you need to do is follow the SOS short and simple “rules” – 1) low sugar, 2) high fiber, and 3) NO more rules! Follow this simple label reading guideline, limit your refined sugar intake and, like so many thousands of others, you will lose between 5 and 8 pounds per month of the SOS Diet.
  • Cholesterol is an essential building block component of our necessary human hormones, human steroids, vitamin D, bile, and is found in the walls of every one of the 50 trillion or so cells in the human body. We cannot live without cholesterol so if we do not ingest enough cholesterol our body manufactures it for us.
  • The majority of a person’s cholesterol is manufactured by the body and does not come from eating fats or cholesterol. One side effect of refined sugar in diet is the increased levels of circulating insulin which then directs the liver to manufacture more cholesterol.
  • According to the National Cancer Institute, there is no scientific evidence that any of the artificial sweeteners approved for use in the United States cause cancer. Further, numerous truly scientific studies confirm that artificial sweeteners are safe for the general population.
  • There is no way the colon is capable of accumulating any toxins or waste in its wall. Colon cleansing is unnatural and potentially dangerous. The colon is designed to have stool and bacteria passing through it and becomes unhealthy when it is too clean.
  • For a person who is obese life expectancy is decreased by seven years and is decreased by three years for a person who is overweight. The life expectancy of a smoker is 14 years less than a non-smoker.
  • Are you ready to resolve to make YOUR life healthier?

    Hott Review:

I don’t like diets nor do I like non-fiction but this title called to me because, well, I do want to live a healthy life-style. This wasn’t an easy or fun read but was tremendously helpful in teaching me how to read labels and what I’m supposed to search for. However, don’t make the misconception that this is easy – it’s still not easy – it’s a lifestyle change and you must be committed to change your life. Make the resolution today!

Would it not be great to support our Michigan farmers by making Stevia a leading Michigan farm crop as well as having Michigan be the nation’s leading producer of packaged stevia?
