Hott Review:
A Night in the Sky is a wild tale that’s sure to enrapture many a middle-grade reader. From the bullies to the adventure it’s quite a story.
It reminded me a bit of A Series of Unfortunate Events. I just can’t imagine things being so horrible for this child or for him to be able to not only overcome but to thrive in his circumstances.
Though at times I couldn’t say I was enjoying A Night in the Sky, I will say that I loved the last third.
I can’t recommend A Night in the Sky arbitrarily. There were some word choices and phrases will keep me from sharing it with my middle-grade readers. Besides that I felt like the vocabulary went from being elementary to confounding, at least for many.
A Night in the Sky was a cute book I’m not sorry to have read but that I won’t be recommending to many.
