Review: Swept Away

Hott Synopsis:

Ruthy was never so lucky as when her wagon train was struck by the rising waters of a tumultuous river and she was swept away in the rushing waters. Yes, she barely made it through alive but even death would have been better than staying with the family who had taken her in.

Even now, she’s happier helping the handsome stranger, Luke, who saved her retrieve his land from the rapscallion, Greer, who stole it from his family. Luke wasn’t terribly happy about allowing her to help but Ruthy refused to back down when she hears that they would also be saving Mrs. Greer and her children from her cruel husband.

But can Luke, Ruthy, and their few “Regulator” friends win – even with the law and God on their side?

Hott Review:

What I liked: I’ve yet to read a Mary Connealy book I didn’t love & this was no exception. She’s one of the few Christian writers that weaves a wonderful action packed christian romance heavy on the snark and light on the doldrums. I adore her characters & feel that she does a tremendous job of pulling real people with real personalities and real issues into her stories. THANK YOU!!
What I didn’t like: Honestly, I detest the cover. It makes me feel so very old. Luke looks like he’s 12! Come On, Bethany House! Help me out here! 😉
