Your children may be influenced to varying degrees by modernism and postmodernism, but it doesn’t mean they will soon be rejecting God. Believing in God, even the God of the Bible, is not a problem for most young people today. It’s just that they feel free to define him and his truth on their own terms—which means they will shape truth to fit their own personal desires. They act as if God gives them the right to see him through the lens of their own cultural and life experiences. They can mix and match the kind of God, morals, and religion that best allow them to do what they want to do.
