Kylie Jean’s biggest dream is to be a rodeo queen.

BNAmazonGRAuthor

But as she watches the parade opening the rodeo she realizes that being the queen of the rodeo wouldn’t be such a bad thing either.

The only thing is that the rodeo queen is chosen from all of the women who compete in the rodeo – and Kylie Jean’s never tried to do any of those things. But well, rope tricks don’t look too hard. Neither does riding a bull. Or even barrel racing. Which will she choose?

My Thoughts

I absolutely adore these Kylie Jean books! I love her personality. I love that she never gets it right the first time. I love that she keeps a positive attitude and speaks respectfully.

I love that she tries and tries! In this book Kylie Jean has to learn how to do an event in a rodeo in order to be entered in the rodeo queen contest. She involves all of her family and friends in helping her to achieve her goals. Yet, she really never asks or expects help. She just tries to do it herself and they offer because of her hard work and perseverance.

I love to read! But I don't always think the synopsis on the backs of books do them justice. I do, however, believe all books should come with an intended rating - or at least a steam FYI. So, I'm taking upon myself to educate all -- christian & secular readers, alike -- on the books behind the synopsis and the possible things you may not want your YA reader to see. Enjoy!
