The once self-assured creative chef is now filled with self-doubt and fear. She won’t cook anything not directly out of a cookbook.
So, she’s decided to embark on a new path and is opening very own upscale cooking store. The only thing is – she’s never worked retail. Hardly even goes shopping. Luckily Jenna has a great knack for hiring and grabs an unlikely manager to propel Jenna’s forward.
Will they find friendship, family and learn that the men in their lives do not define who they are.
My Thoughts
This was less of a romance and more of a growing up book. Although both Jenna and Violet are nearing thirty they are both dealing with letting go of the past and embracing the future. There are many roadblocks including Jenna’s birth parents showing up, changing the business plan, and an abusive boyfriend.
This really was a lot of fun to read. I loved Susan Mallery, as always!
