Until New Years I’ll be doing something a bit different. Each Saturday, I’ll do a mini-review of one of the ‘books’ contained in a novella. Enjoy!

Even though she’s a twenty-seven year old spinster, Sigrid does not think everyone should be telling her what to do. She gave up her life to care for her dying mother and now her siblings want to sell the family farm because they need the money. How dare they take the only home she’s ever known?
Will God’s solution be in the form of the Train Station representative who offers her a job or the lowly farmer who treats her like an annoying sister?
My thoughts
This made me so hungry!! Every chapter features what looks to be a simple but amazing recipe of Swedish food. ‘God Jul’ was really hard to put down. It was the kind of story that probably did happen a hundred years ago but that you see every day. It was well written and encompassing.
I’ll definitely be looking for more works by Tracie Peterson — and trying out those recipes!

Sounds amazing!
