30 Days of Christmas 2012, 27

It’s that time again! It’s time for my 30 reviews of Christmas.

Hott Synopsis

Lord Xavier has spent years perfecting his shallow existence. Now, one wager with his cousin threatens to ruin his contrived reputation.

In one weak moment Xavier agreed to invite the very proper borderline spinster, Louisa Oliver, to his fortnight of Christmas revelry. It’s one of the most sought-after invitations of those with improper lifestyles.

Unfortunately, for Xavier Louisa isn’t even there for a full day before overhearing the details of his wager and instead of being outraged she decides to beat him at his own game.

Hott Review

What I liked: This was so much fun – I picked it up and just couldn’t stop smiling. Louisa really is quite the character and watching Xavier try his darnedest to keep his mask of perfected arrogance in place was a wonderful diversion!
What I didn’t like: There was quite a bit of foul language and descriptive intimacies, however, they were done in such a way that they seemed to flow more. It was quite the romantic book but if you don’t enjoy steam – this isn’t for you.
