While on the hunt for a man on a killing spree that’s hitting way too close to home Jo doesn’t have the time or energy to add more to her overwhelming load. Especially a husband that would like to see her dead – by his hand.
Cleansed by Death Cover Copy
For four years, Josie Oliver has been Chief of Police of the quiet village of Haversport, Illinois. She’s kept her husband’s abuse a secret, until today. Adding to the chaos of her personal life, her old flame drags her into the FBI’s investigation of the Mentor Sister Serial Killer.
As the Christmas holiday approaches, the serial killer escalates. And so does her husband, leaving Jo fighting for her marriage, faith, and fate.
Cleansed by Death seamlessly weaves gritty, imperfect characters, faith, and white-knuckle suspense that will leave readers breathless and guessing until the end.
Hott Review:
Cleansed by Death is an emotional thrill ride! You’ll keep the pages turning hoping to find out who’ll get to her first. Especially as you watch God’s hands work in her life.
While I really enjoyed Cleansed by Death throughout most of the book I felt that it was less of a thriller and more of a women’s fiction novel.
While there are some pretty horrific murders in Cleansed by Death there aren’t enough details to upset even the most squeamish of readers.
On a high note, there is a great story of salvation, forgiveness, and redemption.
Excerpt:
One of my favorite parts of Cleansed by Death was this conversation:
“That is the beauty of our God. Before you even form the words you feel you must share, He already knows what you’re going to say. And He has forgiven you before you even knew you needed Him to do so. So, speak. Share of your doubts.”
It’s a clear picture of Him and a terrific reminder.
