Spine Chillers: Hair-Raising Tales Book One

amazon barnes & noble Goodreads
The town of Saltlick Bluff is famous for an urban legend. Does the spirit of a young girl wait on a misty cliff-hugging highway for her ride to the prom?

In the house on Beech Street a terrible tragedy occurred. Now neighbors won’t look at the place as they pass. Those who live nearby draw their blinds and shutter their windows after dark. What are they afraid of?

Hale Hallow Woods seems sinister and menacing even in the light of day. Does a thirst for revenge beat near its dark heart?
The answers lie within these pages, just waiting to send a chill up your spine!

Hott Review:

About a million years ago, when I was in middle school my favorite thing to read were paranormal thrillers. Most authors were one shot books but Christopher Pike was a frequent visitor.

One particular book though stood out. It was a set of short stories and though I don’t remember the title or the author, I remember the stories and the chills.

Spine Chillers: Hair-Raising Tales Book One reminds me of that. It’s the awesome read I hadn’t realized I’d been needing to read.

I’m not one for typical thrillers. I don’t like the gore, mayhem, or foul language that seems to stop into so many of them. Spine Chillers, though, is a clean chilling book that has perfect stories for readers of all ages wanting to enjoy an evening with friends by the campfire or a spooked evening alone.

About Q. L. Pearce:

My path to publication wasn’t straight. I spent time as a nightclub singer in New York, a jewelry designer on Melrose and on Rodeo Drive in California, a SCUBA instructor, and a children’s book editor. My first publication was a workbook about dinosaurs. My first published scary story was about what lurked in the dark waters around that old wooden raft in Boca Ciega Bay. Since then I’ve written nearly two hundred books: educational, craft, nonfiction, biography, and fiction.

Now I live in Southern California with my husband William, a physiologist. We have two beautiful dogs, Lucia the weimaraner and Sasha the Norwegian Elkhound, a quirky cockatiel named Buddy who will tell anyone within hearing that he is a VERY good boy, and a bevy of fish. Our talented and delightfully original daughter, Kaitlyn, is following her own unique path in San Francisco.

When not writing I love to read, garden, and of course, travel.
