Review: The Captain’s Courtship

by | Jun 30, 2012 | 2012, Ages 12-18, ARC, Paperback, YA

Hott Synopsis

The man is insane, but Claire doesn’t have much of a choice. She’s been left crippled and penniless by the tilted and wealthy man she thought would give her security. Isn’t it ironic that the money she lives out her remaining days with on should come from the suitor she didn’t wait for?

But, Claire will be optimistic, and pray with all of her being that his niece is ready for the season her family is plunging her into.

Hott Review

I really enjoyed this one – actually, I liked it more than the first one. I REALLY enjoyed Claire. She may have once been a frivolous teen but she’s a very strong woman dependent on God, and God alone, for her future. To me that’s what rang though in this installment.

I love to read! But I don't always think the synopsis on the backs of books do them justice. I do, however, believe all books should come with an intended rating - or at least a steam FYI. So, I'm taking upon myself to educate all -- christian & secular readers, alike -- on the books behind the synopsis and the possible things you may not want your YA reader to see. Enjoy!
