Marriage of inconvenience?
Needing a fresh start from her two-timing fiancé, Aurora McAllister answers a realtor’s ad for a guesthouse on the beautiful, serene Three River Ranch. She shows up at Three River tired, heartbroken, and with no one but her trusty Labradoodle as a companion.

I completed some reviews in NetGalley last week and a reminder popped up that I hadn’t reviewed Three River Ranch… & I requested it FIVE years ago! Feeling ashamed I wiggled it into my schedule immediately. I mean, it just looked like fun!
Boy, was I right!
Rory may be reeling from a broken relationship but she’s no pushover. I love her outspoken, lighthearted, can-do attitude. Her willingness to help out. And, well, that she’s funny.
Carson is such a man! 😉 He’s got a depth of emotion that he refuses to show to anyone but his horses. His single-minded determination to saving the dying breeds is inspiring. Even if his personality could use a few tweaks.

Before she was a novelist, Roxanne was an aerobics instructor (fired for insufficient coordination), a cosmetics salesperson (lacked that go-for-the-throat sales attitude), a dog-trainer (they all died*), a tax consultant with H&R Block (yeah, that was before Quicken and TurboTax), taught dog and cat breed names (she’s a font of useless information) and even wrote content for an interactive romance/mystery video game (still can’t master Windows 8.)
Now she explores all kinds of careers from the safety of her desk, through her characters. It’s better for everyone that way.
*It was 25 years ago, people! It’s not like they died because of her!
