Here Lies Bridget

High school stinks.

Unless, of course, you’re at the top of the food chain.

Which Bridget Duke was. At least she was last week. This week it seems that she’s bottom crawling.

What is it with everyone anyway? Why is it that everyone is being so nasty? It’s not like Bridget ever did anything wrong. Sure, she’s not so nice to her step-mom – but who would be? And it’s not Bridget’s fault that Mr. Ehzno’s class is stupid and he hates her. Is Bridget really to blame that Michelle thinks she’s fat? It couldn’t possibly be that Bridget ever did anything to anyone – they just all blame her.

Even Liam. He left because he said that she changed. Bridget hadn’t changed – Liam just changed his mind. Right?

My Thoughts

I detest books written in first person. It took me almost half the book to get into it but eventually, I did, and then I did enjoy it.

This book was really cute. It’s really a perfect way to help – hopefully – people take a second look at them-self and see if maybe, just, maybe, they’re not really who they think they are…

** I’d like to thank Cynthia from A Blog About Nothing for reviewing Here Lies Bridget. If it hadn’t been for her review I’d never had actually read it. Though the book had been on my TBR list from Netgalley I had decided that I really wasn’t interested until I read her review. Thanks Cynthia!

Rating: B+
Buy or Borrow: Borrow
Steam: Nada – but quite a bit of language.

** Many of the books I review are Advance Review Copies. These books are loaned to me for my review. I am in no way compensated for my time nor am I asked to give anything but my honest review.
