Hott Synopsis

The end of the world is near! You must be prepared!

That’s precisely why Tess jumped at the chance to right an etiquette book for how to handle yourself after the destruction occurs.

Okay, that’s a lie – Tess was really just desperate. In the last year her father died, her brother got the better end of the will and refused to share, her agent dumped her, her boyfriend cheated on her with her upstairs neighbor, oh, and now, she’s been fired as a columnist.

Now, all Tess needs to do is figure out how on earth to write a lighthearted book about famine, cannibalism, primitive living conditions, and the other wonderful experiences of living through an apocalypse.

Hott Review

What I liked: I loved the plot. The bartender was a great character!
What I didn’t like: I just couldn’t find myself liking Tess, I kept wanting to smack her to wake her up! I was expecting light and fun but there was much more drama and chick-lit feel for me to enjoy.

    • I knew you’d laugh at that! I detest DNFs. It makes me feel so guilty but I was irked with the character I kept snapping at people around me. Actually, the last character I was that irritated with was Emma, in well, uh, Emma.

        • I didn’t even make it halfway and I tried for over a year. I SO wanted to read it but I just kept wanting to tell the silly girl to shut-up & mind her own business 🙁 and then I’d feel guilty because… it’s a CLASSIC. Obviously I’m missing that gene that tells me why books are classics
