“The Land of Stories” tells the tale of twins Alex and Conner. Through the mysterious powers of a cherished book of stories, they leave their world behind and find themselves in a foreign land full of wonder and magic where they come face-to-face with the fairy tale characters they grew up reading about.
But after a series of encounters with witches, wolves, goblins, and trolls alike, getting back home is going to be harder than they thought.

Hott Review:
In The Wishing Spell, twins Alex and Conner are still trying to overcome the loss of their father just over a year ago. Alex compensates by burying herself in her books and schoolwork while Conner avoids everything. Their adventure the Land of Stories is hilarious, mentoring, and healing – or them and the reader.
I don’t enjoy chunkers but The Wishing Spell is a quick and fun read boys and girls young and old are sure to love.
I grabbed The Wishing Spell because my niece has been raving about them since just before her 10th birthday. I’ve not only purchased them for her but also for my pre-teen daughter. However, after reading this first book in the series I think maybe a bit more parental warning should be given. There are several vulgar words and comments that parents should be aware of prior to sharing this with your family. Check out my kindle notes for details.
