Megan needs friends. Her father just moved her to Chicagoland and she knows no one. Well, truth be told – she didn’t really have any friends at her previous school, either. So she stops into to the local pet store to find a tarantula because she can’t have a pet with fur.
Raf knows just by looking at her that she’ll be trouble – non-stop talking trouble. But what’s a guy to do? Especially when she starts leaving him cryptic messages about the summer school she’s been enrolled in – the Stepford Academy – where everyone is odd. They love class. They look exactly alike. They dress alike. It’s just weird.
My Thoughts
I’m so not into graphic novels. And this one, especially, was a remake of a compilation of the Stepford Wives and an old PI movie. However, Bug, the 10 year old who detests reading, loved this book. He read it twice in a week.
The graphics were pretty cool but they locked up my Nook & I had to read it on the PC. The verbage was a bit much for my 10 year old but I think it’s appropriate for a 10 year old who actually reads. Overall, this book probably won’t appeal to many adults but I think most kids under 14 will enjoy it.

Good to know about the graphics. Nice review 🙂
