There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death.

Proverbs 14:21

Days after U.S. Senator Malcolm Phillips changes his vote on a bill he sponsored, he is murdered and his death disguised as an accident. He contacted one man before he died: investigative journalist, Jack Logan. He left Jack a single clue to help him uncover the truth and keep Phillip’s widow, Taylor, safe. But safe from whom?

Jack and Taylor’s desperate hunt leads them to a vast network of corrupt authority controlling everything from social media and television programming to law enforcement and US legislation. The key to unraveling a complex web of lies is a set of ancient relics, dating back to the time of Christ. But what do these relics have to do with a senator’s death?

Allies turn to foes when Jack and Taylor discover that those closest to them are part of the conspiracy and that they too have been manipulated. How long has a puppet master been pulling their strings—and will Jack and Taylor trust the right people long enough to win what becomes a colossal battle for souls?

Hott Review:

Doctors, Scientists, Lawyers, Politicians. Working together to make the world a better place. Unknowingly manipulated by an evil as old as time.

WOW! As soon as I read the excerpt for The Veritas Deception by Lynne ConstantineI knew it was a book I wouldn’t put down – luckily I was right. (I SO hate being wrong about these things!) As I delved deeper into the intricacies of it’s plot The Veritas Deception became even more real, more plausible, more suspenseful, and MUCH MORE scary.

I think the scariest thing is how The Veritas Deception shows mass manipulation is real. Whether you choose to believe it or not, people of all ages are being manipulated to do horrendous things in the name of good. It’s becoming more and more prevalent. The knocking down of intelligence and the “adjustments” that come at the expense of our “rights”. We think we’re being protected, but are we? Are we really being helped or is this just another ploy to make us believe we need protection?

Personally, I’d consider this a Christian Suspense but, that’s probably because it’s what I want. I have no trouble believing the evil, the good, the deception. All of The Veritas Deception seems perfectly plausible. I know some will say it’s far-fetched, but I see it as being way too close to truth.

Who is good? Where is God and whom is he protecting in The Veritas Deception?

Note: There are many potential triggers in The Veritas Deception. There isn’t anything excessive but many of the things the villain perpetrates in the name of science are horrific and some will be unable to bear.
