I absolutely LOVED Outlaw of the Wildwood… even though I’m sad to know we won’t be visiting the Bonded Realms again, because each of these stories has captured a piece of my heart. Outlaw of the Wildwood was no exception… I treasured every word, even as it felt like a bittersweet goodbye. I loved watching Xan and Genny’s relationship grow from their first moments together as captor and prisoner to wary allies and then to something deeper, with all the banter, spark, and loyalty I’ve come to expect from this series. The mix of adventure, quiet emotional beats, and those amazing wildwood scenes was just perfect for me. As a finale, it pulled together threads from the earlier books in a way that felt satisfying and earned, while still reminding me why I fell in love with this world and these characters in the first place. This is the kind of story that leaves you both content and already missing the Bonded Realms.
