As Ethan Judith is finally coordinated, athletic, and talented. It’s great fun until someone starts trying to kill Judith and Ethan. Did someone find out about their “superpower” or are they wrapped up in something more sinister?
Hott Review:
Though I’m a part of the Partners in Crime Virtual Book tour I borrowed & reviewed Dimorphic prior to the tour.
What I liked: Overall I thoroughly enjoyed Dimorphic. It’s nothing like anything I’ve ever read before but there were many factors that helped me to appreciate it.
First, the mystery comes out of nowhere. We’re just watching Judith come to grips with Ethan’s new position in her life and the amazing new abilities she’s gained when someone decides she needs to disappear.
Second, though Judith doesn’t have many relationships in her life they’re all suspect in Dimorphic as she doesn’t completely trust anyone. That makes the mystery even harder to decipher.
Third, you know those things that are completely inappropriate but make you laugh? Yup. There’s this character that is tremendously stereotypical but, well… it’s funny
What I didn’t like: The language really threw me. There was so much that it did take away from my enjoyment of Dimorphic. Also there were a few short scenes when Judith was Ethan that were just uncomfortable. They weren’t graphic or gross just uncomfortable.

Behind me, I have a ton of academic experience and have written about twenty extremely boring papers on query languages and such, for example this one in the ACM Transactions on Databases. (That’s a mouthful.)
Now, I write in the mystery/thriller/suspense genres and sometimes science fiction. I know for some people databases would be the more beloved of the options, but for me, I finally realized that my heart wasn’t in it. So I took up a second life, as a self-published fiction author.
Online, I do the Writer Cy cartoon series about the (mis)adventures of researching, writing, and self-publishing in today’s shifting climate. I also love to design and create my own covers using GIMP.

I really did. It was so different than what I generally read but I absolutely enjoyed my time with Dimorphic.
