With Danni and Skip by his side, the summer days become an amazing time of fun and swimming only marred by the local burglaries until the trio discovers a cave and a mystery that makes “The Beach Club” a memory that they – and everyone else in this little beach town – will never forget.
Hott Review:
This first volume of The Beach Club, Magic Beach, is really a terrific book. I’ll admit I was a bit apprehensive because of the cover but, once I started reading I couldn’t put it down. Then, I couldn’t wait to share it with my nephews! I think this series could be to them what Nancy Drew (& The Hardy Boys) was to me.
What I liked: Reading Magic Beach is like taking a vacation! I loved how that peaceful beach vibe overcame me as I was reading about The Beach Club’s summer activities. The kids friendship, fun, and mystery are the summers we all dream of.
You won’t be disappointed in Magic Beach!
What I didn’t like: With the exception of a couple of grammatical errors I didn’t see anything in Magic Beach that would hinder you from sharing this with your middle grade reader.
