Easter in Cadillac, Texas will never be the same.
The whole town gets turned upside down when Carlene Carmichael Lovelle finds some adorable red panties in her husband’s briefcase. It’s bad enough that they’re not hers but she remembers selling them to a much tinier and much younger girl for a weekend with her sugar daddy not long ago.
Thus ensues an argument the whole town gets in on.
I enjoyed reading A Heap of Texas Trouble. It’s cute and fun. The plot is old as time but no one else could have created the characters participating in this farce!
While they argue a lot, Carlene and her cousins are very close and it’s great to see them and their mothers come together to overcome the nastiness that’s invaded the town.
There was little to dislike about A Heap of Texas Trouble but I didn’t like the foul language. The book would have been great without it.
Also, if you have trouble with a lot of characters, this may not be the book for you. There are characters everywhere and I had trouble keeping some of them straight.
