Hott Review:
The Travel Twins and the Lost Secret of the Vikings is a great book that I’m sure many reluctant readers are going to love.
This enthralling adventure even had my older teens interested. They were trying to take the book as I read!
The Travel Twins and the Lost Secret of the Vikings has many great qualities but the two I believe are most important are the history and the vocabulary. This fourth Kare Kids Adventure intermingles the historic figures of the Berserkers and Leif Erikson with a contemporary story and it introduces many places and words that most middle graders probably haven’t come across.
I have to say, there were some heart-stopping moments as I read The Travel Twins and the Lost Secret of the Vikings. Thinking of any twelve-year-olds having this adventure was just too much! Now, from the perspective of one of those middle-grade readers.
