Review: A Simple Amish Christmas

Annie’s life among the Englisch is bearable. She loves her job but so misses the ways of her family. Not that she realizes it, of course.

So, when the call comes that her father has been in an accident she hightails it right back into the folds of her family, thanking Jesus every moment for the time she spent getting her RN.

However, not everyone in their Amish town is quite so happy that she’s spent her time learning… and she does feel guilty that she’s still not told her parents exactly what she’s been doing.

My Thoughts

I really enjoyed Annie’s character. I adored her siblings. Her parents were wonderful. It was really nice to escape for a few hours where things were good – not perfect – but good. Good parents. Good families. Good neighbors.

I love to read! But I don't always think the synopsis on the backs of books do them justice. I do, however, believe all books should come with an intended rating - or at least a steam FYI. So, I'm taking upon myself to educate all -- christian & secular readers, alike -- on the books behind the synopsis and the possible things you may not want your YA reader to see. Enjoy!

A very sweet Christmas story. I'm giving a copy to my granddaughter for Christmas.
Made me long for a more simple life.
