Christmas Review | Postmark, Christmas

Honestly, I requested Postmark, Christmas THREE years ago from NetGalley and am just now raeding it. My tardiness has nothing to do with the book and everything to do with my Christmas Reading fetish. Every year I request more than I can possibly read. However, this year marked a new beginning. I caught up on many of my tardy reviews and am now working my way through my ever-growing to-be-read list.

Home For Christmas

Dooly Stella Grant arrives in Christmas, Florida, content with her nomadic RV lifestyle and ready to tackle her next job as event planner for the town’s Christmas festival. Brick Myers keeps busy with his contracting job, heading up the Christmas committee, and as a single dad. When festival plans throw the two together, Stella and Brick realize their lives are lacking in the relationship arena. Will the small town put a postmark of approval on their relationship before Stella leaves Christmas for good?

Review: Home for Christmas is an okay book. It’s a solid low key read. It doesn’t get an A because it didn’t pull me in. The characters were fine, there weren’t any unanswered questions, but it wasn’t fun or enthralling either.

Review: Michael, Randi’s seventeen year old son, is what makes the book. He’s the central character and pulls the plot together.
It’s a sweet romance that really captures the essence of a hurting family that’s lost their connection.

A Blessed Angel Came

Ever since the accident that claimed her father’s life and left her sister in a wheelchair, Gabi Archer has retreated into herself. That is, until photographer David Preston challenges and intrigues her through their shared work at a nature park in Christmas, Florida. David, in turn, sees the strong and passionate person within her through his lens. They secretly send cards to each other through the town’s post office as a way to show their admiration. Can David draw Gabi out of her shell, or will his past cause her to withdraw further?

Review: Forgiveness. Redemption. Both tough subjects, but this sweet novella pulls then together and weaves an adorable romance. David and Gabi are great characters with a full plot and terrific conversation. It’s a “DO NOT MISS” novella.

You’re a Charmer, Mr. Grinch

Retired police officer Rick Stanton dons a Grinch costume for the holidays and “patrols”Christmas, Florida, to promote the festivities. Everyone falls under his charm except the person he most wants to impress—postmaster Edie Hathaway. Rick wants to be loved for himself, not his secret; and his silence confuses Edie, stirring up her painful past and threatening her secure future. The Grinch is stealing Edie’s heart, but will Edie learn to trust him before he gives up on love?

Review: Awww! I loved every word of this Novella. Both Edie and Rick had shown up in other books and been great then but giving them their own story is perfect. This one also gives us the Christmas blessing and path to Salvation that are needed to pull this together.

My Thoughts on Postmark, Christmas

While I didn’t love all of the novellas, I did enjoy them and think you will too! The best part is how they’re all complimentary and feature the same functions and highlights. It’s like looking at it from several different angles.
