Hott Synopsis

Publicity is terrific when you’re just starting out.

BNAmazonGRCBDAuthor

The right kind of publicity, that is. Unfortunately, it seems that someone is out to get Sadie Hoffmiller’s amateur detective work off to a bad start. Before this ‘journalist’ decided to print half-truths about Sadie she was trying to become a better detective but now that the word is out… well, she’s got a client.

Just when things are starting to look up, Sadie realizes that the life she hopes to life may come at the cost of her church, her boyfriend, and her friends. Her church actually believes the article and many have gone so far as to snub Sadie. Pete, well, he doesn’t seem to be as involved in the relationship as Sadie and even refuses to help before Sadie ever considers asking! And Sadie’s friends, well, Sadie’s learning very quickly exactly who really are her friends.

But at least Sadie gets a case to keep her mind off her troubles, she’s just not sure there really is a mystery. What kind of mystery can come from a man who died at home alone of cardiac arrest? Especially when only one of his three children believe he was murdered?

Hott Review

This was my very first Sadie Hoffmiller book. It was a pretty good cozy that really reminded me of a Murder She Wrote episode more than a Christie novel. It was quite enjoyable and I absolutely loved trying out the recipes.
THE THREE R'S
I need to thank Kristin from Always With a Book for suggesting this series. She loves it and I think she’s reviewed every one. She gave such terrific reviews that I needed to try them for myself!!

Thanks, Kristin!

I love to read! But I don't always think the synopsis on the backs of books do them justice. I do, however, believe all books should come with an intended rating - or at least a steam FYI. So, I'm taking upon myself to educate all -- christian & secular readers, alike -- on the books behind the synopsis and the possible things you may not want your YA reader to see. Enjoy!
