Friday 56 — 04-30-2010

by | Apr 30, 2010 | Teaser Tuesday

This is my first Friday 56 post, so here we go…

As I understand it the ‘game’ goes like this…

Rules:
* Grab the book nearest to you. Right now.
* Turn to page 56.
* Find the fifth sentence.
* Post that sentence (plus one or two others if you like) along with these instructions on your blog or (if you do not have your own blog) in the comments section of this blog.
* Post a link along with your post back to this blog.
* Don’t dig for your favorite book, the coolest, the most intellectual. Use the CLOSEST.

Now, I’ve seen this on quite a lot of other sites but I’m not sure where it began – I picked it up from Christine – where I get all of my greatest ideas!

The closest book: High Noon, Nora Roberts

page 56, sentences 4-6

“You told him you didn’t care, you told him he was going to jail.”

He sent her that tight, smirking smile. “Not supposed to lie in negotiations.”

Just makes me want to read it again…
