A lady this extraordinary deserves an extraordinary match

Since Claudia, Dowager Duchess of Tyneham, became a widow, she’s had to manage two feckless dukes, all their holdings, and the ill-chosen staff they left behind, all to protect the loyal staff and two other dowagers who call Tyneham Manor home. So when the new Duke of Tyneham in his august wisdom sends an architect out of the blue to remodel the manor, she’s ready for another fight. But she certainly isn’t ready for a winsome smile and a charming address to cut through all her defenses.

Remodeling an architectural treasure like Tyneham Manor could make widowed Ben Warden’s career and help him support his young son, if he can convince Claudia to trust him with the house she considers her home. Yet even as he and Claudia draw closer, it becomes apparent that everyone from the new duke to Her Grace’s lady’s maid is conspiring to give her a well-deserved happily-ever after, with Ben! What could a rising architect possibly offer a woman who has position, prestige, and wealth?

As secrets come to light and scandals unfold, can Ben convince his extraordinary duchess to take the most extraordinary chance of all—falling in love?

Hott Review:

Wow! What a book. From the first word I didn’t want to leave 1815 Tyneham, Dorset. It was like falling into a wonderful loving family complete with mystery and home improvements. Yes, I know how that sounds, but it was a wonderful sweet romance that felt like I was immersed in their life and time. I couldn’t get enough.

The three Her Graces are so different but so loving and kind to each other. Their lost Dukes were very different as dukes and as husbands. The current Duke is an absent entity who pops in and maneuvers from afar. The architect is adorable. The artist is sweet and mysterious. And the youngster is an absolutely perfect addition to the cast. Plus, I loved the Grace-by-the-Sea references and visits.

This is a book you’re going to love. It’s hard to explain but… It just filled my heart. A sweet romance with elements of mystery and, well fun.

I love to read! But I don't always think the synopsis on the backs of books do them justice. I do, however, believe all books should come with an intended rating - or at least a steam FYI. So, I'm taking upon myself to educate all -- christian & secular readers, alike -- on the books behind the synopsis and the possible things you may not want your YA reader to see. Enjoy!
