What is it that makes us afraid to go all in?

BNAmazonGRCBDAuthor

Are we really that screwed up?

Divorce attorney, Harper James, sure is. Ever since her mom walked out on her and her father she’s held back. The only person she’s loved unconditionally was her trailer-park trash step-mother’s daughter, Willa. Willa’s different though. She’s the epitome of sweetness and light. She’s eternally optimistic. She’s fun. She’s everything that Harper isn’t.

That’s why Harper can forgive her anything and will do anything for her. That’s why Harper will be the maid of honor in Willa’s third marriage. That’s why Harper’s even attending the union where she’s get to watch Willa marry Harper’s ex-husband’s baby brother.

My Thoughts

Stellar, as always. How can one book make you laugh and cry? And use my favorite quote, “Do or do not. There is no try.” Star Wars at my house, too!

This book could be just an awesome afternoon or a deeper look at where we’re put ourselves and how we’ve guided our lives. I couldn’t help but cry when the cynical divorce attorney finally broke down. I couldn’t help but love the ‘trailer trash.’ I laughed at the arguments of Harper and Nick – they sounded eerily like the one drifting out of my windows.

I love to read! But I don't always think the synopsis on the backs of books do them justice. I do, however, believe all books should come with an intended rating - or at least a steam FYI. So, I'm taking upon myself to educate all -- christian & secular readers, alike -- on the books behind the synopsis and the possible things you may not want your YA reader to see. Enjoy!
