Hott Synopsis:

At a glorious 16th century party a man and a woman gaze at each other across a crowded hall. Thus begins a battle of wills that may cause the downfall of a country.

Mary Kate knows that openly staring at the gorgeous man across the room is highly improper but can’t seem to stop herself. But it’s not until he thwarts her best efforts to keep him out of her room that Mary Kate realizes how great her error in judgement actually was.

Mary Kate may have won the first battle but she will not win this war! Adam decides that two can play her game and begins a game that neither of them may win.

Or they both will.

Hott Review:

Don’t read the cover copy – even after reading the book I’m not sure exactly how it fits in.
What I liked: I really enjoyed this Amanda Scott historical. Both Mary Kate & Adam were so much fun. There was only a place or two that I didn’t enjoy something but overall this book was amazing.
I really like the steaminess of Amanda Scott’s books. They’re terribly romantic but not overly graphic.
What I didn’t like: Sometimes this book was so very detailed that I had to actually look up info to refresh my memory with more history. Her books are terribly accurate and interesting!
