Thrust out of Doon, the best friends are confronted with tormentors from their past and no way to return to their adopted land. When the MacCrae brothers rush to their rescue, the girls’ situation turns from nightmare to modern-day fairy tale. But their happiness could be short-lived: unbeknownst to them, someone in their closest circle is aiding the witch of Doon in her bid to destroy the kingdom once and for all.
Hott Review:
I really enjoyed Shades of Doon, maybe even more than the last two. Maybe because there was less romance and more personal growth. The adventure and mystery are just as compelling and fascinating.
I liked how Vee and Kenna got to show Jamie and Duncan around their world and give the boys a better look into their lives before Doon. Yes, the girls have gained much by becoming a part of Doon but they also gave up a lot.
The most terrible part of this book, except the end, was knowing that I’ll never meet this magnificent seven.
Don’t miss this next installment… but have the final book waiting because you won’t want to wait!
