Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading
Anyone can play along!

Just do the following:

  • Grab your current read
  • Open to a random page
  • Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
  • (yes, I generally share a bit more… but it’s just so exciting…)
  • BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS!
  • (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
  • Share the title and author so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

My teaser is from ‘A Summer in Sonoma’ by Robin Carr.

Cassie heard the man wit the deep voice try to open the locked door. Then the window’s glass suddenly cracked and like a spider web, spread into a million cracks. But is was tempered glass and didn’t break, merely crystallized, leaving a dent in the glass where it had been hit. A sharp object she vaguely recognized as a key popped through the compromised glass and started boring a hole into it, releasing diamond-like pebbles of glass that fell into the car…

A huge hand attached to a huge arm entered through the hole in the window and reached down to flip the lock.

So, I'm taking upon myself to educate all -- christian & secular readers, alike -- on the books behind the synopsis and the possible things you may not want your YA reader to see. Enjoy!
