I spend tons of time reading newspapers of the districts our office provides so that I can keep up with local ordinainces & the like. However, I’m frequently shocked at what other things I do find. Take for example:
Wilson prof on TV tonight – Chambersburg Public Opinion
A local Nancy Drew expert will be on television tonight.
Dr. Michael G. Cornelius, chair of the Department of English and Mass Communications at Wilson College, talks about iconic, fictional, teenage gumshoe Nancy Drew on the new television program, Humanities on the Road, airing on the Pennsylvania Cable Network. Cornelius appears in an episode entitled “The (R)Evolution of Nancy Drew.”
The show can be seen tonight from 6 to 7; Saturday from 2 to 3 p.m.; and Monday, from 10 to 11 a.m. PCN airs on channel 186 on Comcast cable service in Chambersburg and Waynesboro.
A native of Groton, N.Y., Cornelius has been teaching at Wilson College since 2002 He was named chairman of the English and Mass Communications Department in 2004. He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from St. John Fisher College in New York and Marshall University in West Virginia, respectively. He earned his Ph.D. in Medieval/Renaissance literature from the University of Rhode Island in 2002.
My Thoughts
Now I, like many of you, adored Nancy, but a Nancy Drew expert? I think I need to find this on the net because I need to find out what exactly makes him an expert on ND. Because, seriously, don’t you think we qualify?
What a fun title/honor to hold.
