Science Experiments.

BN | Amazon | GR | Author

That’s all they were. All six of them. Orphan science experiments.

Children are supposed to perform science experiments not be them. Yet it was only four years ago that these six children now ranging in ages from six to fourteen managed to escape the ‘School’ with the help of a beloved scientist, Jeb.

Now, Jeb has disappeared and the mutant freak security guards have kidnapped the youngest, Angel. These children may be flying mutant freaks with special abilities and super-human strength but they are not ready to take on a army of those guards.

But they’ll die before they’ll let Angel go without a fight.

Hott Review

I have some issues with this book. First, finding out the main character, Max, was a girl really threw me. not that I had a problem with it but it was confusing. Second, to me this felt a bit like the X-men movies that I didn’t really enjoy. Third, there really didn’t feel like there was much of a plot.

On the other hand… My thirteen year old boy loved it. It’s one of the few books he-s enjoyed outside of the Percy Jackson Series.

THE THREE R'S
I’d like to thank Christina from Randomness and Reading for her review of ‘The Angel Experiment‘.

I had been fretting about completing challenges when I noticed Christina’s review. Luckily, this book sounded good and helped me out in four different challenges. Even though I didn’t love it, it did give me another YA book that I can honestly give a review to the other moms about and it gave my son another book to add to his rotation (yes, he just reads and re-reads the same books over and over…) Oh, well, at least he’s reading.

** Many of the books I review are Advance Review Copies. These books are loaned to me for my review. I am in no way compensated for my time nor am I asked to give anything but my honest review. If you have further questions, please, review my FTC Disclaimer on my homepage.

I love to read! But I don't always think the synopsis on the backs of books do them justice. I do, however, believe all books should come with an intended rating - or at least a steam FYI. So, I'm taking upon myself to educate all -- christian & secular readers, alike -- on the books behind the synopsis and the possible things you may not want your YA reader to see. Enjoy!
