A Creed Country Christmas is the second of two books included in The Christmas Brides by Linda Lael Miller.

Barnes and Noble – Amazon
– Goodreads – Author

Juliana is up to her ears. She’s been charged with the care of her Indian students yet not given the means to support them. Even her brother has deserted her – keeping their inheritance to himself until she sees fit to marry as he’s chosen.

It’s freezing outside. They’ve been relieved of their home. They’ve no where to go and no money to get there if they did. Still when Juliana reads the letter from her brother informing her of his decision to withhold funds she’s shocked. Not that it really mattes anyway. She’ll most likely be arrested if she and the children don’t die of the elements first. She was supposed to have taken the children to another school. She just couldn’t do that to them. Those that had families should be returned home and, well, she’s loves them too much to let the others go to just anyone.

Lincoln is ecstatic when he sees they lady in the store. Finally someone has answered his advertisement. He desperately needs a housekeeper and a tutor for his young daughter. Hopefully, this one will make it where others have failed.

My Thoughts

This was terrific! This is one of the best Christmas books I’ve read in along time. It’s not about Christmas but completely resonant of the season of giving and good will without being mushy or unbelieveable.

What I didn’t like: I was hoping for another book about Wes and Kate…

Rating: A
Buy or Borrow: Buy
Steam: Quite steamy. Not for young readers.

** Many of the books I review are Advance Review Copies. These books are loaned to me for my review. I am in no way compensated for my time nor am I asked to give anything but my honest review.

O I love when characters are so good you want to see and read about them again.

I used to read a lot of Linda Leal Miller—I might need to pick her up again!

It had been a while for me, as well. Sometimes I don't feel like the book is enough for me but other times it's just right.

My Life Verse

So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her. (John 8:7 (KJV))
