“Rachael Anderson has a unique ability to keep the reader intrigued with her characters. She writes with a sense of humor, knowledge of period she’s writing, about, and sprinkles with Christian values.” (Carolynn D., Amazon.com)
For as long as Prudence can remember, it has been understood that her sister will one day wed the eldest son of their nearest neighbor. Such an alliance will benefit both families and bring a great deal of joy to all parents involved.
Unfortunately, Prudence has never been able to feel as joyful. She believes her sister is mad to consider marrying a man she hardly knows, even if he will one day make her a countess. Titles and wealth shouldn’t factor into matters of the heart, and as an aspiring romance novelist, Prudence cannot fathom how anyone could even think of settling for less than love. She certainly wouldn’t, and she doesn’t want her sister to either.
Unable to stand by and do nothing, Prudence sets out to help the awkward couple discover the best in each other with the hope that they will eventually find love. What she neglected to foresee, however, was the possibility that she might fall in love with Lord Knave herself.

In the last few years I’ve come to really enjoy reading Rachael Anderson’s works. My Sister’s Intended is no exception.
In My Sister’s Intended Prudence is a gregarious soul ready to come out but waiting far her sister to wed before she does. Her parents are keeping her back so she doesn’t ruin her sister’s chances, even though she’s betrothed. Thinking Knave, her sister’s bethothed, is a scoundrel Prudence sets out to discredit him only to get herself in a situation with her sister’s intended.
As much as I loved both Prudence, her sister, and Knave, I really didn’t like their parents. To the last page, the way they treat their children is just wrong. It really set me on edge and caused me to put down the book more than once.
My Sister’s Intended is not a Christian Romance, as I originally thought, it’s just a no-steam sweet romance that many will love, as I did.
I do have to admit, after reading My Sister’s Intended I can’t wait to read the rest of the Serendipity series!! Please, write faster, Ms. Anderson!!
