I’m Sunk!

Many of you know me pretty well, and have joined in on the ‘Reading Challenge Addict‘ Challenge that I host with my good friend Cheryl, CMash Loves to Read.

Well, last week, I very deliberately taunted Bev, My Reader’s Block, about her inclination to join in on challenges. I mean really! She had signed up for 31. 31!

Bev, was very gracious as she pointed out that I wasn’t much better at 28 but what she didn’t know was that I was being very facetious because I’d already found more that I wanted to join but I needed a few days to taunt her.

So, now that he taunting is over, I can join my other challenges…

I love to read! But I don't always think the synopsis on the backs of books do them justice. I do, however, believe all books should come with an intended rating - or at least a steam FYI. So, I'm taking upon myself to educate all -- christian & secular readers, alike -- on the books behind the synopsis and the possible things you may not want your YA reader to see. Enjoy!

  1. wall-to-wall books

Ooo Monthly Mix-up Mania is gonna be hard, to have the color on the cover somewhere is ok but to have the word in the title is hard! Good luck. It will be interesting to see what books you pick.

I think so, too, but it seemed so easy for Bev last year. I’m going to try it out. I think it will at least be fun.

Ha Ha Ha!!!! I knew you’d be jumping in for more. Didn’t fool me for a minute. I hope you have a good time with the Monthly Mix-up. I enjoyed it–and thought it a bit strange that the “E” books were so difficult. I suppose that’s because there were so darn many of them.

And…I’m so glad you’re joining me in the color quest this year. I’m hoping to have better luck with “white”–it took me a couple of tries to find a book I could finish for that one….

LOL! I won’t forget, I was just waiting for you!
I LOVED the mix-up but MAN were those Es hard!
That last Y was, as well.
            I’m excited about the colors!!

  2. Cheryl "Mash"

I am thinking I have to take on the mother role here lol. And say that you and Bev can’t play together any more lol

    • Gina ~ Hott Books

Come on, MOM! We’re just playin’!

  3. Felicia

LOL! I did that last year and just couldn’t track it. Though I am pretty sure I did finish most of the ones I signed up for. This year it is 6 challenges—well maybe 7 (debating on another one )

    • GHott

really? Which one did you have trouble tracking? I track all of mine on a page & I add the book when I write the review. It’s the only way I can stay on top of it.

    Wow! just WOW!
    Good luck!!!
