In our latest installment of Book Bloggers Anonymous we’ve discussed ways to track your books and book spending.

Book Bloggers Anonymous

I personally use a spreadsheet for the physical books & just rely on the ‘new’ notation to track the Nook books. Which is partially why I have so many duplicates.

How do you track your purchases?

Do you have shelves of books? If so are they organized? Mine are completely organized… I’m just a bit OCD

I love to read! But I don't always think the synopsis on the backs of books do them justice. I do, however, believe all books should come with an intended rating - or at least a steam FYI. So, I'm taking upon myself to educate all -- christian & secular readers, alike -- on the books behind the synopsis and the possible things you may not want your YA reader to see. Enjoy!

As I was driving down the road the other day, I saw the ugliest guy I think I have ever seen in my life! As I approached and actually saw the face I realized that this was not a guy nor was he ugly but this was, in fact one of the most beautiful women I have ever...

I track my bills and regular expenses on a spreadsheet but I don't track my book spending. 🙂

My shelves look pretty but there is no order to the books themselves. 🙂

    Great questions.

I'm so excited that Book Buyers Anonymous isn't just something I need 🙂

Do you use GoogleDocs? I LOVE their forms! I use one for adding to my To Buy, one for when I sign up for an ARC tour, another for when I come across a favorite post, and now one for when I buy a book… I may or may not have OCD…

And, yes, my bookshelves are organized 🙂 A shelf for "review"/library/borrowed, a self for the top of the TBR, a shelf for favorite series, then the rest for all my other books (all shelves are then alphabetized by author's last name, then title).

Oh my goodness, Tara! You crack me up!

I’ve found that the best place to keep track of my books is goodreads. Plus, I organize my receipts in folders based on what I purchased, got free, & arcs. Then I monthly review & create a reading calendar for the month.
I used to use Docs for that too but have found this to be a bit less easy for me to screw up 😉
